Two-Level Sandstone Patio and Garden Transformation

The Brief

A family home in Camberley was being fully renovated ready for sale, and the garden needed the works. The old patio was tired and uneven, there were old trees to come out, and the whole garden needed levelling and setting up for new turf. The owners wanted a smart, hard wearing sandstone patio that made the most of the space across two levels, along with a new EV charger run neatly across the drive.

What We Did

Our work included:

• Cleared the garden: Lifted the old patio, took out the old trees and cleared the ground, working around tight access and old tree roots that had grown in under the paving.
• Built the base and drainage: Excavated to the correct depth and laid a compacted sub base with the right falls, installed a new soakaway so the patio drains cleanly, and set softwood sleeper beds to edge and retain the two levels.
• Laid 60sqm of Raj blend sandstone: Installed 60sqm of Raj blend Indian sandstone across two levels, a 40sqm raised patio and a 20sqm lower level, jointed with Flowpoint for a clean, durable finish.
• Levelled the garden: Levelled 180sqm of garden ready for topsoil and new turf, giving a clean canvas for the next owners.
• Installed the EV charger cable: Ran a new EV charging cable, repositioned on our advice for a shorter, tidier run across the drive.
• Finished and cleaned: Jointed, cleaned and finished the patio ready to use.

The Result

A smart two-level Raj blend sandstone patio that completely changes how the garden looks and feels, with 180sqm levelled and ready for turf and a new EV charger in place. The whole job was completed in three weeks despite tight access and old tree roots under the patio, leaving the home ready for its next family to enjoy.
